Soy Wax - Wholesale

Soy wax is made naturally from the processed form of soybean oil. Soy wax is produced by crushing soybeans and hydrogenating the extracted oil, causing it to solidify at room temperature and form a wax-like consistency. As soy wax is made from soybean oil, the wax is a type of natural vegetable oil. Soy wax is used when manufacturing candles, especially those with a low melting point for massage applications. The wax can also be used as an ingredient to make balms, as part of your creams oil phase or as an ingredient in solid perfumes.

This wax is both natural and kosher. This soy-based wax enables it to be poured at a hotter temperature (around 75 C) helping to reduce frosting and increasing FO percentage (fragrance oil)

  • Excellent adhesion to containers and a clean burn with less soot than typical paraffin waxes
  • Low melting point (so compatible with essential oils that require a cooler burn)
  • Body-safe
  • Rich skin feels buttery texture, light colour, long-lasting barrier protection.

Benefits of Soy Wax:

  • Natural and renewable product
  • Emits far less soot than regular paraffin candles and releases no toxins into the air
  • More environmentally-friendly choice and is safer for people and pets

Common Uses:

  • Candles
  • Balms

Recommended Usage:

  • 1 - 100%
Ingredients: Hydrogenated Soybean Oil

Pour Temp: 65-80 C

Melt Point: 46-49 C

FO Load: 8%-10%

Formulating Tips: This wax has a lower melt point which helps with the burn and gives better glass adhesion. Suitable for container candles, tealights and clamshell melt. Not suitable for moulds. This wax does not require the addition of any other additives. It is formaldehyde-free, natural, not organic & not food grade.

Note: Seasonal changes may require higher pour temperatures during cold months, and lower pour temperatures during warmer months. Wax may have visible condensate in both the flake and melted wax due to the manufacturing process and storage. This may affect the setting of candles. It is advised to air our wax thoroughly before use. This can occur on all waxes. All soy waxes may also have black sediment visible from time to time due to the manufacturing and packing process. This is polymerized oil that gets stuck in the lines during manufacture. This does not affect your candles.
