How to make your own cream lipstick!

We all love a good lipstick. What's even better is to know you are using one that has no nasties! 

Good news is you can make one yourself with a few simple ingredients from The Skin Science Company.

Making your own cosmetic or skincare products is a fun and affordable way of satisfying your beauty needs. It might seem hard at first, but once you make your first product, you'll be hooked, and want to start recreating every product you've used before!

Simply follow this easy recipe and make sure you show us your end results by tagging us on social media!

Here's what you will need:

Phase A Ingredients
74.00g Castor oil
10.00g Carnauba wax
10.00g Candelilla wax

Phase B Ingredients
5.00g Red Iron Oxide

Phase C Ingredients
1.00g Vitamin E Oil 

Here's how you can make your red lipstick:


1. Heat Phase  A Ingredients until it reaches 75°C. Check with a cooking thermometer. Make sure you mix well. 
2. Remove Phase A Ingredients  from heat and add Red Iron Oxide, stirring thoroughly.
3. Allow to cool slightly and add Vitamin E Oil, then stir well.
4. Pour the mixture while hot into a mould and wait for it to cool down

You can use a lipstick tub or a lipstick mould.
