Description:

Hair and Body Wash Base is an unscented, ready-to-use, preserved wash base that works as a shampoo, a body wash or an all-in-one. It gives a rich foam that rinses away cleanly, and a guar conditioning polymer leaves hair feeling smooth and skin soft. It is made for brands, salons and DIY makers who want to add their own scent, colour or extracts. Available in 1L, 2L, 5L, 10L and 20L.

How to Use:

Apply to wet hair or skin, lather gently and rinse well with warm water. For hair, follow with a conditioner such as our Conditioner (Natural) Base. Keep tightly closed in a cool place, away from direct sunlight and heat. Shelf life is 12 months minimum when stored as directed.

Customisation:

Can I add essential oils, and how much? Yes. Add essential oils or fragrance at 0.5 to 1% and mix well; for 1L of base, that is 5 to 10ml. Try Lavender Essential Oil, Peppermint Essential Oil or Rosemary Essential Oil. For colour, add a few drops of a water-soluble cosmetic colour slowly until you reach the shade you want. Water-soluble plant extracts can go in at 1 to 3%. Stir additions in gently by hand to avoid trapping air, and make a small test batch first, as oils and extracts can change thickness and clarity. Is a preservative included? Yes, the base contains Diazolidinyl Urea and Iodopropynyl Butylcarbamate, so you do not need to add one. Can you customise it for my brand? Yes. Ingredients (INCI):

Aqua, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Guar Hydroxypropyltrimonium Chloride, Propylene Glycol, Diazolidinyl Urea, Iodopropynyl Butylcarbamate, Sodium Chloride, Citric Acid. Is it sulphate free? No. It contains Sodium Laureth Sulfate (SLES) as its main cleanser, with coconut-derived Cocamidopropyl Betaine for a rich lather. No fragrance added.
