Description: Jojoba Oil is a cold-pressed cosmetic oil (INCI: Simmondsia Chinensis Seed Oil) from the seeds of the jojoba plant. Technically it is a liquid wax made of wax esters rather than a true oil, and its composition is close to the wax esters found in the skin's own sebum. That makes it light, fast-absorbing and very stable, which is why it is one of the most used carrier oils in face oils, serums, hair care and DIY skincare. Our Jojoba Oil is available in 100ml, 200ml and 500ml, with 1L to 20L on the Jojoba Oil Wholesale page. Suitable for most skin types; patch test first.

Why It’s Special:

  • Light, Non-Greasy Feel: Jojoba absorbs quickly without a heavy film, so it suits oily, combination and normal skin.
  • Very Stable: As a wax ester, jojoba is naturally resistant to rancidity, which helps the shelf life of your blends.
  • Versatile Carrier: It works on its own or as the base of face oils, serums, beard oils, roll-ons and cleansing oils, and dilutes essential oils evenly for skin application.

How to Enjoy Jojoba Oil: For the face, press 2 to 4 drops into damp skin after cleansing, or add a drop to your moisturiser. That covers the face and neck; more will just sit on the surface. Use it as the last step at night, or under moisturiser in the morning if your skin is dry, and apply water-based serums first so the oil helps hold that moisture in. For hair, warm a few drops between your palms and smooth over the ends, or massage into the scalp before washing. For the body, apply after showering while skin is still damp. Is jojoba oil good for oily or combination skin? It is one of the most popular choices because it is light and absorbs quickly. Patch test first, as every skin is different.

Creative Inspirations:

  • Face Oils: Blend 22ml jojoba, 8ml Rosehip Oil and 6 drops of Vitamin E Oil for a simple 30ml face oil.
  • Beard Oils and Roll-Ons: Use jojoba at 50 to 100% as the base for beard oils and essential oil roll-ons.
  • Cleansing Oils: Use 20 to 50% jojoba in an oil cleanser for a light, easy-rinsing feel.

Making It Work: Jojoba works well on its own, and because it is light and stable it also makes an ideal base for a custom face oil. Is jojoba oil actually an oil? Technically no. It is a liquid wax made of wax esters, which is what makes it so stable. Why is my jojoba oil cloudy? Jojoba can go cloudy or partly solid in the cold. Stand the bottle in warm water and it will clear; this does not affect quality. If you blend it with rosehip, store the blend in a dark dropper bottle somewhere cool and refrigerate after opening, as rosehip is more delicate than jojoba.
